A knee injury denied Law the possibilty of his greatest triumph forcing him out of Manchester United's 1968 European Cup victory. Of only medium height and slim build, he became one of the most prolific goal-scorers of all time thanks to his superb athleticism and his iron will to win. A cavalier and entertainer, he was known as "The King" to the fans, who adored him. He won two League titles and the 1963 FA Cup with United, as well as scoring 30 goals in a total of 55 games played for Scotland.
